Biography

Yu-Chee Tseng received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the National Taiwan University and the National Tsing-Hua University in 1985 and 1987, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the Ohio State University in January of 1994. He was an Associate Professor at the Chung-Hua University (1994~1996) and at the National Central University (1996~1999), and a Professor at the National Central University (1999~2000). Currently, he is Chairman of the Department of Computer Science, and Associate Dean of the College of Computer Science, National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan.

Dr. Tseng received the Outstanding Research Award, by National Science Council, ROC, in both 2001-2002 and 2003-2005, the Best Paper Award, by Int’l Conf. on Parallel Processing, in 2003, the Elite I. T. Award in 2004, and the Distinguished Alumnus Award, by the Ohio State University, in 2005. His research interests include mobile computing, wireless communication, network security, and parallel and distributed computing. Dr. Tseng is a member of ACM and a Senior Member of IEEE.
