講員名字&簡歷: Jen-Shun Yang (Nickname: Tonny Yang) received Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 2003. He joined Wistron NebWeb Corporation (WNC) on Oct, 2019, and is currently working with Advanced Technology Development (ATD) Division. The main tasks in WNC ATD are the development of 5G End-to-End Network System, and representing WNC to join Open RAN Alliance.
His research interests include 5G New Generation/Radio Mobile Communications, WiFi (Wireless LAN), Proximity-based communication (Device-to-Device Communications), Movable Cell, Mobile Computing, High-speed networks and 3GPP Wireless Mobile communications.
He has been worked as a Manager in the Deportment of Advanced Communication Technology & Standard Development, Division of Video & Multimedia Communications Technology at Information & Communications Research Laboratories (ICL), Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C. During serving in ICL/ITRI, he has been acted as an ITRI delegate for participating IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.16 and WiMAX Forum standard meetings from 2005 to 2013, and joined 3GPP SA/RAN plenary and SA1 working Group.
大綱: 5G Mobile Edge Computing or Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) enterprise private network technology has five advantages. First, it has the advantage of high-speed bandwidth; second, it protects information security and network privacy in the enterprise from being monitored by network service providers. The third is to co-construct network infrastructure and reduce costs through the use of network slicing technology; fourth, to have direct control over the network, enterprises can rely on the help of network service providers or on their own Network deployment; Fifth, to enhance ultra-low latency applications and capabilities, thanks to AI's integration technology in hybrid cloud (central cloud and edge cloud) computing, smart applications enter a new era.
5G Enterprise private network technology allows enterprises to obtain ownership of private networks. The trend of network co-construction within private networks can directly reach the RU level. Compared with the CU or DU level in the past, it has greater flexibility and can give full play to 5G. The advantages of low-latency applications make it easier to integrate different process equipment, machines, and applications used within the enterprise. Using 5G Network Slicing technology in the same network, it can be appropriately divided into three virtual networks: URLLC, eMBB, and mMTC. The heterogeneous application services on it share the same network system.
